Astronaut Mission to International Space Station Marks Historic Milestone for Private Sector

Axiom Space, the leading provider of human spaceflight services and developer of human-rated space infrastructure, is preparing for a 2026 launch of the first section of its next-generation platform that will operate in low-Earth orbit.

The announcement comes on the heels of Axiom Space Inc's (also known as Axiom Space) continued success in the private sector. The company has recently signed an order with NASA for the fourth private astronaut mission to the International Space Station (ISS), targeted for later this year. Additionally, on April 8, 2022, the four-person multinational crew of Ax-1 made history as the first all-private astronaut mission to the ISS.
